亚洲协会出版了一些录像关于青藏高原的冰川融水危机：
青藏高原作为亚洲众多河流的发源地, 孕育了数条世界级的大江、大河,如中国的长江和黄河,南亚的印度河，恒河以及布拉马普特拉河,东南亚的萨尔温江与湄公河。如今，青藏高原却成为环境危机的中心。冰川融水是高原上众河流的源泉，冰河学家Lonnie Thompson 把其称之为《亚洲淡水银行账户》。然而，全球变暖正导致高原冰川逐年退缩，进而又导致河湖流量减少，牧场干旱严重，沙漠化加剧，以及天气不可预测性增大。青藏高原的整体生态系统及其内陆地区正在走向环境灾难，其影响将远远超越高原，危及整个大陆。
